1. Organizer, Scope & Legally Binding Covenant
ARTICLE I1.1 Host Entity & Purpose: The RokNut Academy Guide Banner Design Contest (hereinafter referred to as the "Contest") is established, administered, and governed by RokNut Academy (hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer" or "Platform"). The primary legal objective of the Contest is the procurement of original, human-authored digital visual compositions for integration as official header graphics, responsive cards, and promotional assets across the Platform's digital properties.
1.2 Binding Contractual Acceptance: By transmitting, uploading, or initiating the submission of any artwork, image file, or associated asset (hereinafter an "Entry" or "Submission"), each individual or legal entity entering the Contest (hereinafter the "Participant", "Creator", or "Entrant") unconditionally acknowledges, agrees, and covenants to be fully, irrevocably, and legally bound by these Official Governance Rules, as well as all ancillary directives, terms of service, and administrative determinations executed by the Organizer. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE ENTIRETY OF THESE TERMS, YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM SUBMITTING CONTENT OR PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST.
1.3 Legal Capacity & Eligibility: The Participant hereby represents and warrants that they possess full legal authority and contractual capacity under the governing laws of their primary jurisdiction to enter into this legally binding agreement, grant all licenses set forth herein, and execute any supplementary documentation required by the Organizer.
2. Technical Parameters & Graphic Conformity
ARTICLE IIEvery Submission must strictly conform to the non-negotiable technical, dimensional, and chromatic standards specified below. Submissions exhibiting dimensional variance, improper aspect ratios, or color space corruption shall be deemed non-conforming and subject to immediate administrative rejection prior to judicial evaluation.
2.1 Approved Digital Software Workflows: Submissions must be rendered using recognized 2D/3D digital art software (including, but not limited to, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Painter, Clip Studio Paint, Krita, Procreate, or Blender). All vector paths, raster masks, and render layers must be generated via manual human authorship.
2.2 Codicil for Analog & Traditional Media: Works generated via traditional physical mediums (e.g., graphite, oil, watercolor, acrylic) are permitted exclusively if digitized via high-resolution flatbed optical scanning (minimum 600 DPI) or professional reproduction photography. Photographic captures exhibiting room lighting gradients, lens radial distortion, camera noise, paper grain artifacts, or handheld alignment errors shall be deemed *prima facie* non-compliant and disqualified without right of appeal.
3. Absolute Anti-AI Integrity Clause & Forensic Verification Protocol
ARTICLE IIIGenerative Artificial Intelligence (AI) models, latent diffusion algorithms, neural style transfers, and algorithmic fill tools are strictly banned. Any Entry containing synthetic elements, in whole or in part, shall incur immediate, permanent disqualification and a perpetual ban from all Platform initiatives.
3.1 Prohibited Synthetic Tooling: The use or incorporation of any generative AI technology—including but not limited to Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Leonardo.ai, Adobe Firefly, Runway, generative fill, AI upscalers, latent diffusion networks, or deep-learning automated synthesis plugins—is expressly prohibited. The definition of prohibited software includes any algorithmic process that generates visual raster pixels based on prompt text, probabilistic sampling, or trained neural dataset weights.
3.2 Forensic Audit & Production of Layered Source Files: To guarantee authentic human authorship, the Organizer reserves the absolute, unappealable right to conduct algorithmic forensic metadata audits on all Submissions. Upon receipt of written electronic notice from the Organizer, finalists and prospective awardees shall be legally obligated to supply the following proof of authorship within forty-eight (48) consecutive hours:
- The raw, fully intact, unmerged layered project file (e.g.,
.PSD,.AI,.CLIP, or.PROCREATE) demonstrating comprehensive structural layer hierarchy, editable vector paths, initial thumbnail sketches, lineart vectors, shading masks, and raw paint passes. - A continuous, unedited high-definition work-in-progress timelapse recording or speedpaint canvas capture documenting the entire evolutionary process from a blank canvas to the final export.
3.3 Default Judgment for Non-Compliance: Failure to provide satisfactory, verifiable source files within the prescribed 48-hour cure period shall constitute an irremediable breach of warranty, resulting in automatic forfeiture of finalist status, prize claims, and website placement.
4. Brand Architecture, Logotype Integration & Composition Standards
ARTICLE IVTo preserve visual continuity, brand hierarchy, and atmospheric cohesion across the Platform's graphical user interface, all Submissions must strictly adhere to the following composition guidelines:
Illustrated above is the official RokNut crest emblem required for all submission compositions. Entrants must embed this official mark without altering its proportions, hue, or lineart integrity.
- Mandatory Logotype & Crest Integration: Every Entry must integrate the official RokNut crest symbol (as illustrated above) and official typography logotype into the composition. Official vector assets and high-resolution transparent PNG templates are obtainable via the official contest assets repository. Logo assets must not be distorted, recolored into non-brand hues, stretched, or obscured.
- Guide Title Typographic Exactitude: The graphic banner must prominently feature the precise, unabbreviated alphanumeric title text of the guide category entered (e.g., "Speedup Guide", "Sunset Canyon", "Huge Mistakes to Avoid"). Typography must exhibit high visual contrast, crisp edge definition, and complete legibility against background elements.
- Responsive Viewport Scalability: Banners will be programmatically scaled, cropped, and rendered across dynamic breakpoints (including, *inter alia*, 320px mobile thumbnail grid cards, tablet preview modals, and 4K ultra-wide desktop displays). Focal elements, title typography, and brand marks must remain optically legible across all responsive aspect ratios without clipping key visual elements.
- Thematic Palette Alignment: Visual aesthetics must harmonize with the Platform's dark-mode fantasy palette, utilizing high-contrast metallic gold, obsidian gradients, and dark ambient atmosphere.
5. Official Submission Channel & Metadata Integrity
ARTICLE VAll Submissions must be uploaded exclusively through the official RokNut Web Intake Portal. Submissions transmitted via Discord channels, direct messages, social media threads, or email attachments are void ab initio and shall not be processed or evaluated.
5.1 Rationale for Metadata Preservation: Restriction of intake strictly to the web portal (https://theroknutacademy.com/contest-submit) is essential to preserve raw file headers, EXIF metadata tags, uncompressed color gamuts, and authoritative timestamp logs. Third-party communication platforms (specifically Discord and social networking networks) re-encode graphical media, strip embedded EXIF metadata, alter color spaces, and introduce lossy compression artifacts that undermine forensic anti-AI verification.
5.2 Required Identification Metadata: Entrants must provide complete and accurate identification details in the web submission portal, including valid Discord handle (User#0000 or global handle), verified email address, chosen guide category specification, and direct links to uncompressed source repositories.
6. Multiple Entries & Anti-Monopoly Premier Victory Cap
ARTICLE VI6.1 Permissible Category Diversity: Participants are authorized and encouraged to submit multiple distinct artwork entries targeting different guide topics offered within the official contest catalog.
6.2 Single First-Place Victory Cap: To prevent monopolization of contest awards, encourage community participation, and distribute platform recognition equitable across diverse creators, no single Participant shall be eligible to receive more than one (1) First Place overall award across the entirety of the Contest. In the event a Participant's entries achieve top evaluation scores across multiple categories during adjudication, said Participant shall be awarded 1st Place solely in their highest-scoring category; their secondary entries in other categories shall be recategorized, elevating the next highest-ranking distinct runner-up Participant to 1st Place status *mutatis mutandis*.
7. Exhibition Gallery, Adjudication Mechanics & Anti-Tampering Provisions
ARTICLE VII7.1 Public Gallery Curation: Following the conclusion of the initial intake phase and passing technical compliance filtering, qualifying Submissions will be uploaded to the official public exhibition web gallery.
7.2 Hybrid Adjudication Methodology: Selection of winning entries shall be determined through a dual-factor evaluation matrix comprising public community balloting weighted alongside editorial jury scoring from the RokNut Executive Design Board.
7.3 Prohibition of Fraudulent Balloting: Any attempt by a Participant or third party acting on their behalf to manipulate voting metrics—including via automated scripts, sybil account creation, proxy networks, commercial click farms, incentive buying, or voting exchange rings—is strictly prohibited. Detection of irregular balloting patterns shall constitute grounds for immediate, unappealable disqualification.
8. Winner Recognition, Website Tenancy & Editorial Adaptation
ARTICLE VIII8.1 Category Winner Designation: Due to the multi-dossier architecture of the RokNut Platform, each designated guide category shall select its own distinct 1st Place winning Submission.
8.2 Tenure of Publication: Winning artwork shall be instituted as the official banner artwork on the live Platform. The Organizer retains the non-exclusive, perpetual right to feature, display, and maintain the winning artwork as the primary guide banner indefinitely, extending through all future website revisions, content updates, or platform redesigns at the sole discretion of the Organizer.
9. Intellectual Property Rights, Grant of Perpetual License & Warranties
ARTICLE IX9.1 Moral Ownership Retention: Entrants retain underlying moral rights and visual copyright ownership of their original raw artistic creations, subject to the expansive license grant conveyed herein.
9.2 Irrevocable Universal License Grant: By submitting an Entry, the Participant hereby grants to the Organizer, its successors, assigns, and licensees, a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid-up, non-exclusive, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, cache, reproduce, distribute, display, broadcast, publish, crop, reformat, modify, adapt, combine with other works, create derivative works from, and perform the Submission across all current or future media channels, web properties, social platforms, and promotional materials related to RokNut Academy, without requirement of further notice, approval, or monetary compensation.
9.3 Representations, Covenants & Warranties of Originality: The Participant explicitly represents, warrants, and covenants that:
- The Submission is an original work created exclusively through the Entrant's personal human artistic labor.
- The Submission does not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any copyright, trademark, trade secret, moral right, or proprietary right of any third party.
- The Submission contains no unauthorized third-party IP, proprietary stock vector graphics, or unlicensed commercial fonts.
- The Entrant possesses all necessary rights, titles, and legal permissions to grant the licenses conveyed in this Agreement.
10. Content Restrictions & Code of Conduct
ARTICLE XSubmissions must conform to community-safe visual standards. Any Submission containing any of the following elements shall be immediately purged and disqualified from consideration:
- Sexually explicit, pornographic, suggestive, or NSFW imagery.
- Excessive graphic violence, gore, torture, or grotesque visuals.
- Hate speech, discriminatory symbolism, harassment, defamation, political propaganda, or unlawful content.
- Promotional watermarks, personal social handles, domain URL advertisements, or third-party sponsor branding overlay text outside the approved guide titles.
11. Indemnification, Limitation of Liability, Force Majeure & Severability
ARTICLE XI11.1 Full Indemnification: The Participant agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Organizer, its affiliates, operational partners, directors, officers, administrators, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses, or legal fees (including reasonable legal expenses) arising out of or resulting from any breach or alleged breach of any representation, warranty, or covenant contained within these Official Rules, or any claim that the Entry infringes upon third-party intellectual property rights.
11.2 Limitation of Liability: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ROKNUT ACADEMY, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, OR OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST, PARTICIPATION THEREIN, OR THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE SUBMITTED ARTWORK, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE).
11.3 Independent Operating Status & Disclaimer: The Contest is independently operated by RokNut Academy and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or officially associated with Lilith Games, Shanghai Lilith Network Technology Co., Ltd., or Rise of Kingdoms. All game-related terminology and imagery references are utilized strictly under descriptive, fan-community fair use principles.
11.4 Force Majeure & Reservation of Rights: The Organizer reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to modify, suspend, delay, or cancel the Contest or amend these Official Rules without prior notice in the event of technical failure, computer virus infection, unauthorized human intervention, security compromise, fraud, act of God, regulatory change, or force majeure event beyond the Organizer's reasonable control.
11.5 Severability & Governing Law: If any provision of these Official Rules is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed or modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
